PFC Announcements

Dear PFC Colleagues,

I regret that I am not going to be able to continue to serve on the Payette Forest Coalition due to other work priorities. I appreciate all the hard work that everyone has put into collaborative efforts on the Payette National Forest.  I have been very impressed with the level of commitment that my colleagues on the PFC have for both their constituents and the well-being of our National Forests. I hope that the letter of consensus we crafted on the DEIS for the Lost Creek Boulder Creek Project provides the Forest Service with some guidance for restoration efforts there. I am going to be working with the PFC steering committee on potential replacements for people representing conservation groups. The Idaho Conservation League is still supportive of collaborative forest restoration efforts in Idaho and we are helping sponsor the Idaho Forest Restoration Partnership Workshop on Feb. 19 and 20. I hope folks can attend!

Lastly, please keep me on the mailing list for PFC activities. I am going to remain involved in the Big Creek Yellow Pine Collaborative for the time being. I will also be tracking and commenting on projects on the Payette through the normal NEPA process. Please feel free to contact me as public lands issues come up. I look forward to working with everyone at some point again in the future.

Thanks,

John Robison
