Date:  Wednesday, August 22, 2012
Time:  10:00am - 4:00pm
Place: Council Ranger District Office, Large Conference Room (& Field)

Purpose:  Melanie Vining organized a session on the GRAIP sediment modeling process.

Two researchers from the USFS Rocky Mountain Research Station out of Boise will be  at the Council District to give an overview of the GRAIP road sediment modeling process.  We will begin in the large conference room at the Council Office and then head to the Upper East Fork to look at some of the roads that will be modeled.

This model is used to quantify sediment delivery from roads before and after decommissioning.  Melanie talked about this work in the Mann Creek watershed on the Weiser District (to the south) at PFC meetings in the past, and now the District has funding to conduct the same work in the Upper East Fork within the Mill Creek-Council Mountain Project area.
