I am deeply embarrassed to report that in the past week I was quite busy with work and personal life situations (specifically the extra workload over the past 2 weeks as I transitioned into covering some of JR's duties while he is on sabbatical and a critical family illness), and I did not register in time to testify before the FACA committee in support of the Weiser/Little Salmon CFLRP extension application.
I have learned that I can submit written testimony that the committee will consider, but at this time the allotted time for public testimony has been filled. I will write a letter of support using the ICL letterhead and base it on previous testimonials and letters of support, emphasizing the importance of landscape-scale restoration efforts, the PFC's strong relationship with the Payette National Forest, and our desire to finish the important work begun under the original
award.
Yes, there are extenuating circumstances, but in the end, I dropped the ball and I hope that you can forgive this shortfall. I will work diligently to repair the trust you placed in me, and I appreciate your understanding.
