Considering discussion at the July PFC meeting and afterwards on the Forum, the Steering Team has concluded that:

• PFC voting members at the time the LCBC recommendations were submitted to the Forest Service have voted and reached consensus approving the letter.

• Given the previous challenges to the LCBC project, it is essential to document broad Coalition support for the June 2019 draft ROD.  In order to document that support, the Steering team invites all current PFC members and member organizations (signatories to the BCCs) to sign onto the objection support letter by 5:00 pm, Monday, July 29 by indicating their support here.  Note: Although the online form you will use to do this is like the one used for voting, this is not a vote.  The form is a simple way to create a list of those members who wish to “sign on” to the letter.  The list will be attached to the letter. 
  • The Steering Team recognizes that some members or their organizations will be unable to sign on to the letter.
  • Members who previously voted do not need to respond in order to be listed on the letter.

The Steering Team decided that this amended process respects the voter eligibility policy adopted by the PFC while providing an avenue for more recent members to document their support for the PFC to engage in the LCBC objection review process
