Update: Land Allocation Committee Meeting

I had four updates to share.

1) If you wish to continue to receive emails about the Land Allocation Committee, subscribe to Payette Forest Coalition E-News here:

2) The next Land Allocation Committee meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 21 (and not Wednesday, Feb. 14).

We will be meeting in the side room at the Bistro 45 from 7 pm — 9 pm.  http://www.bistro45mccall.com/

We will be discussing our priorities and work plan for this coming year. We will also be reviewing our groupÂ’s vision statement: "The Payette Forest Coalition Land Allocation Committee will review current forest designations and boundaries in an effort to preserve and enhance recreational opportunities, economic stability, resource protection, and respect for all users."

Here is a copy of the draft agenda (note that this agenda has the incorrect date): http://0104.nccdn.net/1_5/254/300/3af/February-14-2018-Agenda.pdf

The notes for the January meeting are posted in the Library . Remember to enter the word "land" in the search box to retrieve Committee notes only.

3) The Payette Forest Coaltion will be meeting on Thursday, Feb. 15 from 10-3. Join us if you can. Here is a link to the agenda .

4) Please consider attending this yearÂ’s annual forest restoration conference sponsored by the Idaho Forest Restoration Partnership (IFRP) and the Montana Forest Collaborative Network. The conference is March 20-21 at the Coeur dÂ’Alene Resort.

One of the topics is considering recreation in forest restoration projects.

This yearÂ’s conference is a regional event that will include members from over 30 collaborative groups operating in Idaho, Montana and Eastern Oregon & Washington.  As always, the event brings together leaders from the timber industry, local government, conservation organizations, community groups, and land management agencies, this time from across Idaho, Montana and eastern Washington.

For folks flying in to Spokane, the hotel offers a special round trip transportation from the Spokane International Airport at a rate of $49 per person.

There is a pre-conference meet and greet (no-host bar) at 7 pm on Monday, March 19.

If you stay at the Coeur dÂ’Alene Resort, there is a block of rooms set aside with a discounted rate. To get this rate, call 885-688-5253 and inform the hotel staff that you are attending the Regional Forest Partnership meeting (Group Code RFRP18) or book your room online here.

If any of the above links arenÂ’t working, go to the Idaho Forest Restoration Partnership home page and look under Workshops and Conferences:
