Identifying shared recreation, conservation and community goals

Date: October 18, 2017

Time: 7-9 pm

Location: Idaho First Bank, 475 Deinhard Ln, McCall, ID 83638

Join us to discuss options for improving conservation and recreation opportunities on the Payette National Forest.

Here are the goals for the October 18 meeting:

  • Identify shared goals among public lands stakeholders
  • Define the problems we want to solve
  • Review our draft mission statement and charter
  • Review photos of the Secesh and Needles areas from the overflight earlier this month
  • Discuss how to support Forest Service recreation projects

The notes from last month’s Land Allocation Committee meeting will be posted on the Payette Forest Coalition website.

The meeting is sponsored by The Payette Forest Coalition (PFC), a collaborative group working to build diverse community support for forest restoration projects on the Payette National Forest.

The meeting is open to Payette Forest Coalition members and members of the public.

Everyone is also encouraged to attend the a field trip to tour several active logging operations and fish habitat improvement projects for the Lost Creek Boulder Creek Project, scheduled for Thursday, October 19 from 10-3, starting from the New Meadows Ranger District office. You can find the agenda here:
