The Perkins Coie law firm Boise office environmental/natural resource attorneys have volunteered to provide some “pro bono” training and advice without charge through the Society of American Foresters Snake River Chapter, to assist forest collaborative groups in Idaho and neighboring states.

- Understanding the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and legal requirements.
- Working with the Forest Service National Forest Management Act (NFMA) planning and decision making process and requirements.
- Understanding the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) legal
requirements.
- Understanding other statutes, regulations, and case law relative to Forest Service decision making and federal natural resource management.
- Understanding the court process and how collaborative groups can participate or contribute to defensible agency decisions.
