IFRP News - NRCS Requests 2017 Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Program Proposals

Joint Chiefs LRP Announcement

The Joint Chief’s Landscape Restoration Partnership (LRP) effort encourages cross-boundary conservation treatment efforts with the USDA Forest Service and the NRCS, often in collaboration with other local entities and individual stakeholders.  Idaho has had two accepted LRP proposals in the past couple of years.

The deadline for submitting FY 2017 proposals to the national office is October 17th.  Keep in mind that both the local District Conservationist, as well as the State Conservationist, have to review and sign the proposal so allow ample time to meet the national submission deadline.  Your local USFS counterparts will have similar signature requirements.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you with a proposal.  You can also contact Luther Jones, NRCS Conservation Initiative Offer ( Luther.Jones@wdc.usda.gov ) for questions that we can’t answer locally.

Thanks,

Frank
