IFRP News: Add your "all-lands" story to an RVCC issue paper

Ever Work on an All-Lands Project?

We want to hear from you!

RVCC's All-Lands Policy Working Group is currently writing our first issue paper on the importance of an All-Lands approach to land stewardship. We need your help to highlight one or more stories of successful All-Lands initiatives or projects that have made a difference in rural Western communities.

What counts as an All-Lands project? Here are some key characteristics:
  • An All-lands, All-hands approach to natural resource management involves multiple parties who are responsible for, or rely upon, the natural benefits (ecosystem services) of neighboring land parcels.
  • The parties involved in these initiatives identify common interests and objectives that cut across ownership boundaries and pool their resources to improve outcomes through collaborative stewardship activities.
  • All-lands, All-hands initiatives typically take place at scales that are relevant to the resilience of human communities, fish and wildlife populations and regional economies.
Think you have a project that fits the bill? Submit your answers to the questions on the response form by April 1st.

While we won't have room for every story, all submissions will inform the work of RVCC and may be used in future projects!
