OSU Study of Collaboratives

Greetings collaborative participants and supporters,

Oregon State University Forestry and Natural Resources Extension is partnering with the PNW Research Station on a study investigating forest collaborative group success, particularly as it might relate to formal governance structures and informal group dynamics. We focused on Oregon forest collaborative groups during the first phase of the study, and are expanding to include Washington and Idaho groups in the second phase. The study will include a rapid assessment of basic group information, and two Idaho case studies. For background, please see the  project summary, as well as a brief report summarizing a portion of our our results thus far.

This email is to inform you of this ongoing research and provide the opportunity for questions. We will be sending a follow-up email to the coordinators of each Idaho collaborative for further engagement, so please keep an eye out for that.

Please don’t hesitate to contact myself or any of the study investigators listed on the project summary if you have any questions or comments. We look forward to learning more about the collaborative environment in Idaho and working with you!

Thank you,
Meagan Nuss, OSU Extension Faculty Research Assistant
