Final Approval: The 2014 Farm Bill amended the Healthy Forest Restoration Act to include the designation of treatment areas. Governor Otter has received the final approval of Idaho's designated treatment areas proposed last spring.
Some boundary adjustments were requested after the original package was approved by the Secretary of Agriculture.
A letter from the Forest Service to Governor Otter explains the adjustments. The letter and two supporting maps are posted on the IFRP Open Forum.
