The Partners are planning a Field Trip.
Date: Friday, September 19, 2014
Location: Payette National Forest
Transportation: Leaving from and returning to McCall
Optional Dinner: No host dinner (and speaker) after the field trip at the McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS).
Scholarships: Travel scholarships for members of Idaho collaborative groups will be available to offset costs.
The one day event will visit the Mill Creek-Council Mountain Project located within the Weiser-Little Salmon Headwaters CFLRP Landscape. The Interdisciplinary Team designed the proposed action using recommendations from the Payette Forest Coalition.
The project has made significant progress over the two years following the Record of Decision (April 2012). The field trip will
visit examples of restoration actions that transition the forest towards desired conditions for wildlife habitat, forest fuels, watershed health and forest access.
