The Payette National Forest's Mill Creek - Council Mountain Landscape Restoration Project will proceed.  The Final EIS for the project received two appeals.  The Appeal Decision Officer in Ogden, Utah affirmed the line officer's Record of Decision.

The Payette Forest Coalition developed project design recommendations for the proposed action during fiscal year 2010.  Implementation of restoration actions will benefit from the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program.  Forest officials anticipate awarding a stewardship contract prior to the close of FY 2012.
